June 6 - July 1, we will host the nittiest, the grittiest, the most talented of our high school hoopers across Chicago to duke it out in a competitive league where they can prove their legacy and win it all.

Blackboard, Pinterest’s internal community for Black Pinployees, hosted their 2nd annual Black Employee Conference, ‘Bloom: The Homecoming.’ 🌷
This 2-day conference featured DIY flower workshops, special guests like Captain Theresa Claiborne, therapy sessions hosted by Purpose Partner and 501(c)(3) nonprofit Coffee, Hip-Hop & Mental Health NFP founded by Christopher LeMark, and professional development sessions facilitated by Pinterest's I&D Recruiting Programs Coordinator, Christin L. Roberson, Ed.D.
The planning team was a powerful team of 5, of which I was the lead Project Manager.
Pinployees from across the world came together to celebrate and collaborated on ways we can continue to show up and invest in the Black community at Pinterest. It was truly an inspiring experience.
A Nike x YMCA Basketball court unveiling and community celebration for WNBA All-Star Weekend 2022.
The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago and NIKE, Inc. teamed up to refurbish a community basketball court on the South Side Y’s campus at 63rd and Stony Island. As part of the unveiling, a ribbon cutting was held Saturday, July 9 and a community party featuring local female DJs, local female-owned eateries, and more was hosted.
Attendees received free Nike swag.
Lead ERG Blackboard project manager for global programming events Black History Month and Bloom Conference working cross-functional across contracts, employee engagements, communications, and email correspondence with Creators and panelists.
Specifically, I and a co-lead were the thought partners and executers of our For Us, By Us panel. This panel featured three Black women entrepreneurs who spoke about their crafts and the importance of spearheading Black spaces.
I did event planning, management, and hosting for the Brother Mike Awards in 2019 & 2020.
Working on this project was most personal to me as the late Brother Mike Hawkins was my mentor in high school through college. He was an inspiration to many and it was more than an honor for me to be able to honor him in such a way.
Event production volunteer for inaugural “BroccoliCon” (Broccoli City Conference). I assisted in managing guest speakers, attendee seating, swag bags, and run of show for several small workshops.
I worked as a Production Intern for Red Carpet Management with classmates from my graduate program. I helped manage the news and media outlets for reporting as well as controlling red carpet/guest traffic. I was also responsible for guest list management, set up, and break down for the event.
2019 - A Day at Apple with We All We Got Brand/Desmond Owusu in Chicago
An artist series at Apple Store on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Desmond hosted a fashion show for his brand We All We Got Co. redesigning his elementary school’s uniforms.
